Responses to “Tighter lockdown measures gazetted”

Good move. We need this more than ever, especially that people exhibited that they cannot follow simple preventive regulations like wearing masks the correct way, washing hands and social distancing. — @Teet.

I am surprised that some people are against the lockdown. With all the increasing new cases, it baffles the mind why someone would be against such a noble move of keeping people safe. My question to those against lockdown is, what should be done to control the spread of the virus? — @missgina.

If the neighbours saw the felon attacking the poor girl, then why did they not stop him? Such indifference is sickening. — Socratic Discourse.

EDITORIAL

Editor, I agree that our economy is on the mend. Yes, the exchange rate policy did the trick in our local currency stabilisation. The 2021 fundamentals are bright and encouraging, despite the continued satanic sanctions. — Cde Mzvinanhu (Prof)

Response to “2020 an eventful year —

POLAD” Polad is not about propping up another party as some misinformed individuals say. Rather, it is about political players infusing their views as to how they want things done and changes they want in whatever sectors that at the end of the day they watch as some of what they suggested get implemented.

It is more a platform of reaching out to each other rather than having animosity and polarisation. — Manja Chimponda.

Response to “President orders Harare audit”

Thank you President Mnangagwa for ordering a forensic audit. The Auditor- General should immediately do this to save Harare residents from further disservice by Harare City Council. The alleged intricate web of corruption within the local authority had gone too far. They took residents for granted and did not bother to provide basic services like refuse collection and provision of clean and safe water. Instead, they chose to fatten their pockets at the expense of residents. Thank you President Mnangagwa for listening to the people’s calls. I also hope this is a good lesson to Harare residents on who to vote for in the next elections. I am sure having been disappointed by MDC over the past decade, Harare residents now that ZANU PF is the only political party with people at heart. — Mai Ruva.
