Responses to “Doctor kills children, attempts suicide”

This is so sad. May the souls of the departed children rest in peace. They did not deserve this. Social welfare should take into custody the surviving children, they need counselling. — @beety

May the children rest in peace. We need mental health policies that address such challenges. People are not seeking help for mental health issues and this is just one of the cases to prove this. — @Ladymay

What is happening out there. No week now passes without a murder case being reported. We need divine intervention. — Tariro.

Response to “Panic buying as lockdown begins”

Keeping huge grocery supplies at home is the way to go for those who can afford. It is important to avoid the spread of Covid- 19 by buying in bulk to avoid unnecessary movements during the lockdown.

Limiting movement during the lockdown to avoid contracting Covid-19 is important as cases keep going up.

The disease is deadly, we should minimise risk of travelling during this lockdown and it is also essential to obey the laid down rules to stop the spread of the virus. — Mai Tanaka.

Response to “Cops suspended over illegal show”

This is a welcome move. Why did they allow the show to take place in their back- door? Were they not on duty, was the police station closed that night? If there were people on duty, why was the show not stopped as it clearly contravened lockdown regulations? This was a clear disregard of duties by the suspended policemen. I remember seeing a Press statement issued by police which warned against huge gatherings, fireworks, street parties etc. For the same cops to allow a huge party to happen, yet their principals had issued a statement warning against this is just puzzling. They should face the wrath of their superiors. More suspensions like this should happen so that people carry out their duties properly. — Goremusango.

Response to “Govt enforces strict movement controls”

This is welcome. We need these restrictions. People are not taking Covid-19 seriously and the peak in cases is evidence. When people learn to wear masks properly and practice other preventative measures, then we can feel safe. As for now, people are just careless and should stay indoors. If cases spike, hospitals will be overwhelmed. Surprisingly, the same people who did not take precautionary measures are usually the first to blame the Government. — Matty.
