***** Response to “OUR OWN BRYAN ROBSON – ANTHONY KAMBANI – IS GONE ... local football fraternity pays tribute to ex-CAPS United midfielder”

Legend indeed but underrated.

The nickname said it all, he often dominated midfield battles and although he did not score many goals, when he did, they were thunderbolts.

A small correction though, at Caps United he did not play with Sinyo. Sinyo left 1982, Kambani joined around 1986.

But yes, a great tribute. He served Zimbabwe’s football with distinction. May his soul rest in peace. — Lot Chitakasha.

Response to “Editorial Comment: Why treat identical events in Zim, US differently?”

In Zimbabwe we have supporters and members of the opposition who support the misdeeds of their leaders. When the late Morgan called for the violent removal of Mugabe, his supporters joyfully accepted that position. When Chamisa said “achadira jecha”, and would unleash the Mbare youths, people ululated. When the likes of Job Sikhala calls for violent demonstration and Biti calls for a blood bath and making the economy scream, they celebrate. When an opposition party dwells on hate speech, violence and demonising others, they celebrate. This is how evil and bad Zimbabwe politics has become. I hope the opposition in Zimbabwe will now learn from their handlers who influence them to behave. The Vanguard youths of the MDC is the equivalent of the Trump supporters in America, no wonder why some people brag that they have friends in the American system. How can you brag of evil minded and demonic friends? I am waiting for comments from the likes of Chamisa, Biti, the American Ambassador, Hopewell Chingono and their colleagues. The French President said that what happened in the USA was not American, then what was it? Maybe the United Nations must consider sanctions against the Trump administration. The bottom line is that what happened from the start of the elections to yesterday was pathetic and a humiliation to the MDC in Zimbabwe because their master who had promised them US$15 million bungled. — L Makombe.
