Response to “Comberbach starts UN mission”
Good start for diplomacy. — @ GobaMakhate

I have great hope that Ambassador Comberbach will measure up to the task ahead. The UN should promote multilateralism. It is the international body that should rein in global bullies. — @sigauke.

Response to “Zimsec June
exams cancelled”
Good move by Government. The students need ample time to learn and prepare for the examinations before they sit for them so that they can produce the best results. We need to consider the fact that last year our academic year was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, so there is need for them to cover up for lost time. — @Moyondizvo.

Response to “Bumper crop icing on Independence cake” Definitely through this bumper crop icing, Zimbabwe will retain its breadbasket status and even improve our food security position. This will cut dependency on humanitarian assistance from food aid agencies. This is something as a nation we need to celebrate. — Rue. ***
Response to “Tobacco selling season kicks off today” With a 60 percent United States dollar component, farmers will be able to go back to the farm. At least they will afford to buy foreign currency priced inputs. We hope the foreign currency component continues to be increased. — John Sigauke.

Responses to “Comment: Used vehicles ban makes eco
nomic sense”
I think this is a good move. We are losing a lot of foreign currency in excessive importation of these used vehicles which is really costing us. Hope this will push for cars of different brands to be assembled in our country which will create more employment in return. — Ashley Kudzie Snr.

Why not adopt a system like in Europe called the motor operational test ( MOT), which is done every year after the vehicle is three years old? It is done by Government approved garages and this makes all vehicles safer no matter how old they are. When you are stopped by the police, that’s one of the things they check, by asking for a MOT valid certificate. —

Response to “Enough water
for 21 months”
Good news. There is need for more concentration on the supply of clean water in all the areas around the country. Most residential areas have gone for months without water and some do not even have access to it. Immediate action should be put on pumping stations and chemicals so that people get water every day. — Chiduwa Taffy.
