Response to “Land reform

empowers locals” Indeed, this is true. The land reform programme has indeed empowered the locals as it has changed even their means of survival. Land is everything and everything is land. It has made the society to be independent rather than depend on foreign aid. The land is our inheritance, sovereignty, treasure and integrity from our forefathers and we have to utilise it to the maximum. Through the land reform, people have managed to have economic empowerment and even development in our areas. People are enjoying their lives as a result of the land reform programme. — @Audrey.

Response to “Youth Service Programme re- established” Thank you for the reintroduction of the National Youth Service programme. When it was done before, the youths were equipped with discipline, patriotism, hard work, survival and development skills. The youth service programme will definitely nurture the young people into becoming responsible and resilient citizens who will value the integrity of the country. It will also inculcate the Zimbabwean youths with the spirit of selfless service to the community and emphasise oneness and brotherhood of all Zimbabweans irrespective of cultural or social background. — Gwinyai.

Response to “Fighting drug cartels needs new strategies”

I think the best way is to educate the youths that drugs are dangerous and can kill. Many people have lost their lives through these drugs. Arresting and imprisoning the drug cartels is the way to go when they are caught. People should stop spending their money and destroying themselves with drugs. Let us have drug-free streets and country. Down with drugs. As a country we also need to help the police by supplying them with the names of these drug cartels so that we can eradicate them in our society. We cannot sit and watch them ruining the country. — Jonan WaBozho Mawere.

Response to “COMMENT: We must get our

jabs when called in” Vaccination is the way to go. Together we can fight the pandemic if we are vaccinated. It is the responsibility of every one of us to get vaccinated despite the political or social background and differences.

Covid-19 is there, it is real and people are dying. No one is safe until all of us are safe. Let us all go in our numbers to be vaccinated especially now when it has been decentralised to our residential areas. There are no longer queues or congestion at Wilkins Infectious Diseases Hospital or Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals. People should not listen to conspiracies. — Mpofu Kwanele.
