Chitown man hits jackpot in Afdis promotion
A LUCKY Chitungwiza man is on cloud nine after winning a US$1 200 generator in the African Distillers (AFDIS) Viceroy promotion draw.
Mr Trymore Sithole was all smiles at the presentation ceremony where he described the win as a life-changing event for him and his family.
“I am still in shock that I won this expensive generator. I never expected to win such a grand prize. I only bought a box of Viceroy for US$80 and now I have been given something worth more than 10 times that amount,” he said.
Mr Sithole said he would use the generator for domestic use.
“I bought the Viceroy with the festive season in mind but I’m now realising the importance of taking part in these kinds of promotions. It was completely unexpected that I would win such a big prize. My message to everyone is that you never know when your luck might strike so take part in as many promotions as you can,” he added.
AFDIS sales representatives Mr Frank Chitiyo said the Viceroy promotion was run nationwide and emphasised that the promotion was open to all Zimbabweans and that the winners were chosen at random from all eligible entries
Zimbabwe’s largest manufacturer of spirits, ciders and wine is also running a nationwide promotion in which consumers can win three houses in Harare as part of the company’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Mr Chitiyo said three residential stands were up for grabs and to enter the competition, participants needed to purchase any of AFDIS’ products and enter the unique code found on the product into the competition.
The promotion began on November 20 and ends at the end of this month.
