GREENFUEL coach Rodwell Dhlakama has set sights on reuniting with championship-winning midfielder Bruno Mtigo, who was with Ngezi Platinum last season.

Dhlakama and Mtigo previously worked together at Ngeziwherethemidfielderwould, attimes, bedeployed as a central striker where he banged goals for fun in the 2022 Chibuku Super Cup.

So far, GreenFuel have already made several acquisitions to bolster their squad. They have acquired the services of Nedrick Madeya, Godwin Goriati, Anelka Chivandire, Luke Musikiri, and Learnmore Muyambo, amongothers.JerryChipanguraresignedbeforekicking a ball at the club due to personal reasons.

Zimpapers Sport understands the utility player is already training with the club as confirmed by the club chairman Fredson Moyo.

“We have Bruno Mtigo, who we are assessing and tryingtosecure.Ibelievehewillbeagoodadditiontothe squad and will bring a lot of depth and experience. We haven’t secured his signature yet, but we are all assured that all will go well, the deal is almost done.

“Unfortunately we received a big blow after Jerry Chipangura resigned due to some personal reasons.

“You know life brings unseen things sometimes at the end of the day and this one was such a case and we found it worth it for the benefit of the two sides to have a mutual separation,”he said.

Moyo is optimistic that the club will have a better season this year compared to their last one.

“After all said, we are confident enough that this year willbeabetteroutfitcomparedtolastseason.Youknow westartedintherelegationzoneandforcedourwayout tillweattainedposition10.
