White House struggling to do laundry on Biden’s name after House corruption report
THE US White House has learnt with difficulty how hard it is to do laundry on name that has been badly tainted by international corruption, political misjudgment and brazen disrespect of other nations.
The release, by House Committee on Oversight and Accountability of deep-rooted corruption by President Joe Biden, his son Hunter, brother James, close family members and friends has plunged White House into panic and it is now battling to manage it through media corps and any other means.
But facts are stubborn. The evidence is overwhelming. Bank transaction receipts are available. The worst thing is that Biden is battling to keep his name afloat ahead of the November 2024 elections where fierce rival Donal John Trump is making serious progress, albeit institutionalised efforts Biden to block him.
The corruption findings show that the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability chaired by James Comer did its proper role of rooting out waste, corruption, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in the federal government.
Comer tells of how the committee found out well-orchestrated corruption schemes around Biden in which his son Hunter, his brother James and other family members received cash on behalf of President Biden and re-routed it to his account as a cover up.
These were the secret conduits to get money to Biden. This has become a problem for White House, no matter what spin it wants to take.
As if he knew, Comer has produced and presented images of cheques made out to Joe Biden, both drawn from an account held by his brother James and sister-in-law Sara. These cheques entangle Biden in the matrix of his family’s sleazy financial dealings, thereby undercutting any claims that Joe Biden knows nothing.
For example, there was a direct payment of US$200 000 from James to Joe Biden. The documents are available. Many other payments where then made from various family accounts.
If he was gentleman enough and not the master of chicanery, deception, and hardhearted unethical conduct Joe Biden’s only escape route would have been apologising to the people of the world and indeed the people of America.
For instance, the first of his many cheques, can be traced to his most financially aggressive and daring son Hunter, way back in 2016 but the paper trail is then picked in 2017, when they negotiated a joint company with some Shanghai-based energy company.
Today it is understandable why and how the White House is battling to come out with a narrative in its quest to clean up Joe Biden’s name. His name is tainted.
The laundry job is too much because the corruption includes some mega deals in Ukraine, where Biden wants the war with Russia to continue because Russia’s outright win would mean exposing all of Biden’s foot prints. It would open up a can of worms for his son Hunter’s shenanigans and further taint the image of the Biden family and US Government. The happenings in Ukraine are too much.
But what the corruption findings have effectively done is to take the steam off Joe Biden and leave him vey weakened and making it very difficult for him to manoeuvre and ward clear off his rival Donald Trump on the election scoresheet.
The abuse of state apparatus, from finance to institutions in trying to block Donald Trump is simple desperation. Biden knows the committee got him. And, indeed got him right on the act and that he had to put up a brave face, behave as if everything was over board if he is to win the elections. Impossible!
Yes, impossible because it is very difficult for him to behave as if nothing happened because his corrupt financial dealings have now become a matter of discussion in the public domain and in the international scene. The story is all over the world.
Biden can no longer stand high up and claim to be forthright, to be astute, morally right and a beacon of democracy and accountability because the findings show that he acted in the contrary. He is not smart. He is not clean.
The net effect is that US under Biden administration has lost its moral standing and cannot lecture to other countries about corruption, fraud, democracy, good governance and accountability. No!
They have lost it. Crucially, the US has lost the justification it used as a smokescreen behind which the administration used to hid its interference in the politics of other countries. Joe Biden must come clean of this corruption mess but most people including the in White House do not know how to clean him up. He is now Mr Dirty.
