COACH Genesis Mangombe has called on the Dynamos supporters to come in their numbers and rally behind the team when they kick-start their 2024 campaign with a date against Ngezi Platinum Stars in the Castle Lager Challenge Cup set for Baobab Stadium tomorrow.

Mangombe believes that the Harare giants’ supporters play a pivotal in the success of the club.

“The supporters are our 12th men and they are key to our success.

“As we kick-start our campaign for the 2024 season we are urging them to be their in numbers when we play Ngezi Platinum Stars in the Challenge Cup on Saturday,” said Mangombe.

Mangombe’s call has been echoed by the club’s marketing executive, Jayden Mutopa.

Dynamos will be eyeing a cup double against the 2023 Castle Lager Premier League champions after they edged the platinum miners in the Chibuku Super Cup final in December.

Mutopa has called on the club faithful to come in their numbers.

“We are urging all our supporters across the country to invade Baobab Stadium in support of our club as we seek to start the season in style by winning the Castle Lager Challenge Cup and ensure that we complete a double against Ngezi Platinum Stars.

“We want to create a carnival atmosphere at Baobab Stadium,” said Mutopa.

Mutopa revealed that the Challenge Cup will allow the fans to have a first-hand appreciation of the squad that the club has assembled ahead of their title chase in 2024.

“The Challenge Cup does not only allow us to win the trophy but it also serves as an opportunity for the fans to get an appreciation of what the technical team has done during the off-season in assembling a competitive side to challenge for the league title,” said Mutopa.
