FOR the first time in four attempts, the Vincent brothers Scott and Kieran were separated on the leaderboard at the LIV Golf Jeddah at the weekend.

The event was at the Royal Greens and Country Club in Saudi Arabia.

The pair were part of the three-day tournament that saw several seasoned top professionals taking to the field. Kieran was the better placed of the two after he finished tied on position 31 following an impressive threeunder-par total in the final round. Kieran had rounds of 71, 69, and 71 in the process helping his team Legion XIII Golf Club to a fifth-place finish. Scott was not far off as he finished two shots behind on one-under-par after rounds of 69, 76, and 69 with his team, the Ironheads Golf Club finishing on position seven.

The siblings had finished tied in all the opening tournaments of the 2024 season.

LIV Golf Jeddah was the fourth tournament for the siblings who have played in Mexico, Las Vegas, and most recently in the Asian Tour at the International Series Oman at Al Mouj Golf in Muscat. In their first three attempts, the Vincent brothers managed to make the cut and finished tied on all occasions.

The latest event was won by Joaquin Niemann, who shot a final-round four-under 66 to finish at 17-under and claim a four-stroke victory. The 25-year-old captain of Torque Golf Club player also won the season opener at Mayakoba in a playoff against Sergio Garcia.

The two victories in the first three events of 2024 moved him atop the season-long Individual Championship standings.
