Mbeu on a maiden tour of Australia

AFRO fusion artist Ashton Nyahora, popularly known as Mbeu, will next month embark on a maiden tour of Australia, where he is expected to serenade fans.

The crooner will take his artwork to multitudes of fans alongside some of Zimbabwe’s talented musicians, gospel artiste Mambo Dhuterere, Jit afrop-contempora­ry singer, Baba Harare, Andy Muridzo and hip-hop rapper Voltz Jt, who are expected to illuminate the Zimfest.

The groups will perform in four cities for the duration of their tour that will begin on April 5 and ends on April 13.

Music lovers in Australian cities of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth will be treated to a variety Zimbabwean music, considerin­g that the five musicians boasts of a good discograph­y and superb stage presence and performanc­e.

Zimfest is an annual event held in the UK and Australia, that allows Zimbabwean­s in the Diaspora to soak in music and dance, while partaking local food and drink.

For Mbeu, the fest will give him an opportunit­y to showcase his prowess as a musician of repute.

In an interview with The Herald Arts, Mbeu said he was excited about the tour, which he hoped will enhance his brand to grow and create more opportunit­ies.

“This tour represents a new chapter in my musical career,” he said. “I am ready to dive in and give it my all. It is going to be an unforgetta­ble ride, and I cannot wait to see where music will take me.

“It is going to be a significan­t contributi­on to my music career as it provides me with an opportunit­y to expand my fan base internatio­nally, connect with a new audience, and showcase my talent on a global platform.

“It will also allow me to network with industry profession­als and potentiall­y open up new doors for collaborat­ions and future projects.”

Mbeu said he will use the tour to release several new songs, in addition to his rich discograph­y that has since been embraced by afro-fusion fans.

A prodigy of the late Oliver Mtukudzi, Mbeu carved his career in music at a very tender age.

He is slowly becoming a household name and has since churned out several hits that have endeared him with fans.
