Response to “Call for depositors protection law amendments”

This is quite important. Treasury must move with speed to come up with new laws to ensure banks and other financial institutions compensate people who lose their savings and investments due to poor corporate governance by some of the institutions. — @Actionpack

I agree with Murehwa West legislator Farai Jere. Our savings must be protected against corrupt financial institutions. — @Safebet

***

The legislative deficiencies or weaknesses of the Deposit Protection Corporation Act must be addressed as a matter of urgency to protect depositors in the event of bank closures. — @Savadye BcG

I am a victim of bank closures that once happened here in our country. Let’s work to protect the poor. Corrupt and weak financial institutions must carry their cross. — @Damakwe Sibaya

Response to “Old mine dump turned into mega solar farm”

This is quite in impressive! We must encourage all mining companies to turn old waste dump sites into solar farms. Mine dumps pose huge risks to humans and livestock and building solar farms can help Zimbabwe to meets its goals on renewable energy. — @Amazing Sam ***

Where is this gold mining entity in Bubi District? I want to visit it and learn more. — @Skhobokhobo Veza

This is quite novel! Having a solar farm with 8 064 solar panels, 36 inverters and four transformers producing an impressive output of 4.4MW that is fed into Turk Mine in Nkayi is something else. Running off-grid is the way to go. This can help reduce pressure on our national grid. — @Taurai Muloki

Response to “Tout battles for life over loading fee”

The story about Terrence Duri (23) who appeared before Harare regional magistrate Stanford Mambanje facing attempted murder charges for assaulting a fellow tout is sad. This is just not right. — Why Why

***

This is quite painful and sad. News about a tout battling for life after he was assaulted by a fellow tout during a fight over Z$3 000 is very disturbing. Why should people kill each other over such issues? — LifeMatters

***

Terrence Duri (23) must be punished to deter other touts from doing such things. Touts must respect and value life.— @Smoko

***

Why should he attack others for such a pittance? ZW$3 000 is nothing. Life is precious and touts must respect the sanctity of life. — @Senzenjani ***

Duri must respect human life. The magistrate must punish him and set an example of him. — Bakari V
