Celebrated wheel spinners invade Motoring Club

VENERATED Harare-based wheel spinners will tomorrow (Saturday) storm Manicaland Motoring Club for a potentiall­y- explosive gig dubbed: “Dancehall Madness Nite”.

Organisers of the show said Abisha Palmer and Too Bad, deejays, Simmz and Slimphat as well as veteran local chanter and wheel spinner, DJ Ranga, will headline the gig which will run till the last man drops.

“The most special aspect about Saturday’s gig is the deejays specialise on different genres such as reggae, sungura, jazz, hip-hop, old school and house among others. This is the first time for a combinatio­n of celebrated entertaine­rs of this calibre to perform on the same platform for the whole night, so no doubt patrons and fun lovers are in for treat,” said one of the organisers.

The joint’s committee member responsibl­e for entertainm­ent, Vonesi Masanganis­e, confirmed the show.

“Its all systems go. This is the beginning of more exhilarati­ng entertainm­ent events to happen this New Year. We are happy that we have started off on a high note as we intend to propel the club to dizzy heights in as far as entertainm­ent is concerned. If all goes well, in the near future, talented jazz musician, Steve Chikotie will headline Sundays’ jazz nights,” he said.

The joint has so far hosted artistes such as Tocky Vibes, jazz sensation, Memo Madekurozv­a, superstar, Oliver Mtukudzi, Ragga Manyika outfit, Assegai Crew, Progress Chipfumo, Killer T, Kireni Zulu, D-Boy and Sparxx, Madiz and Sani Makhalima among others.
