Herentals scoops top business award
HERENTALS Group of Colleges and Schools last week scooped the Zimbabwe Top Leadership Excellence College of the Year award.
The awards which were presented under the Zimbabwe Leadership Awards banner saw the Mutasa-born Herentals Group of Colleges and Schools chief executive officer, Dr Innocent Dambudzo Benza being named the Zimbabwe top business leader of the year (Education Development).
These awards were presented by the chairman of Zimbabwe Leadership Awards, Dr Enricho Sibanda at a Harare hotel.
Other companies that scooped awards include; Ruvimbo Funeral Service, Rose of Sharon Orphanage, Integrated properties and ZBC TV among others.
An excited Herentals College management committee member, Mr Kudakwashe Kasian Remba, said: “We felt greatly honoured and humbled to receive an outstanding award in the education development sector.
“It proves hard work and commitment to quality service delivery from Herentals management and staff,” he said.
Last year saw Herentals also receiving awards from Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce and Mega First.
“This year the awards came at a time when we are also celebrating achieving very good results in 2016’s Grade Seven, O- Level and A-Level ZIMSEC national examinations.
“These achievements are a result of Herentals Group Of Colleges and Schools’ sound leadership qualities of Dr innocent Dambudzo Benza. Dr Benza was also personally recognised for his steward leadership qualities.
“As an institution that provides primary, secondary and professional courses, we dedicate these awards to our valuable various stakeholders whose support has taken Herentals to this level.
“Without them we may not have scored any successes.
“We have retained these awards from the 2015 session to date, meaning we are maintaining our quality standards which remains recognised nationally.
“We shall continue working hard in this 2017 being our year of ‘ Fortification, Re-branding and Growth’,” said Mr Remba.
Herentals Group of Schools and Colleges is currently operating from 33 branches countrywide, among them pre-schools, primary, secondary schools and professional courses centres.
