DRIVE-IN MURDER: 2 SENT TO THE GALLOWS

TWO men who murdered Mr Elias Chisenye, the manager of Rainbow Nitestar Drive- In Cinema on the outskirts of Mutare have been sentenced to death.

There was dead silence in the public gallery as High Court judge, Mrs Justice Gibson, delivered the sentence.

Farayi Tendai Chibura (26) and James Majuta (35), dressed in khakhi prison garb, blinked their eyes, apparently in disbelief, and listened attentively as they stood in the dock.

It was evident before the sentence was passed that the two would not go scot free when the court asked the two to give reasons why they should not be given such a sentence.
