MUTARE’s finest musicians — Blessing Shumba, Agatha Murudzwa and Brian Samaita are lined up to perform at the much-awaited Spiritual Spectacles Night, Mutare edition, which is slated for Sakubva Beithall on August 4.

The formidable combination is set to light up the crusade which is led by Harare-based self-proclaimed prophet and musician, Prophet Tapiwa Freddy who is conducting a prophetic and healing session in the eastern border city for the first time.

Award-winning musician, Blessing Shumba is expected to perform a blend of yester-year and new hits such as ‘‘Mufaro’’, ‘‘Zita’’, ‘‘Timene Timene’’ and ‘‘My Season’, while Rusape-based gospel diva, Murudzwa will be preaching through music with her inspiring and soulful songs.

Rising sungura musician, Brian Samaita is also expected to thrill music lovers at the all night crusade.

Prophet Freddy, who is widely known for spiritual spectacles, is the founder of Goodness and Mercy Ministries and is also a gifted musician. He is currently riding high with his album, 100 percent Prophetic – Journey Mercies.

The album carries songs such as ‘Ndiani Wandingaudze’’, ‘‘Tinopemberera’’, ‘‘Rudo’’, ‘‘Josepha’’ and ‘‘Vana’’, which was voted number 29 in last year’s Radio Zimbabwe Coca-Cola Top 50.

“We are giving them spiritual specta- cles. People should come in their numbers and witness healing and prophetic powers. We have also lined up a number of artistes who will preach through music as well as entertain,” he said.

Prophet Freddy started prophesying at a tender age in the dusty streets of Glen View.

He urged people to come in their numbers and be part of the prophetic and healing sessions that will transform lives of many.

He hogged the limelight early this year when he sold “anointed” umbrellas to his congregants.

He claimed that the umbrellas had divine powers to protect owners from evil spirits as well as lightning and storms during this rainy season.

Some of his previous albums are ‘‘Messiah’’ and ‘‘Serevende’’’, released in 2002 and 2006 respectively.
