Pals come up with unusual way to keep cool

-

A GROUP of friends came up with a bizarre way to keep cool while travelling in a pickup truck - by making a swimming pool in the back of it.

The four pals decided to create the make- shift pool in the back of the large vehicle in a bid to stay refreshed in the blazing heat.

But after the video of the pick- up truck started circulating online, officers are now on the look out for the driver, who could face a substantial fine.

Footage made by an onlooker moving in a car behind shows the four men having a blast in the improvised pool on a street of the city of Almaty in south- eastern Kazakhstan.

Even though the vehicle was moving on busy centrally located streets, it appeared to retain water relatively well, as the men enjoyed splashing passengers in passing vehicles.

But the fun is likely to end when police catch up with them after they confirmed that they are looking for the driver of the vehicle.

If captured, he is likely to receive a substantial fine for putting the lives of his passengers at risk, it is reported.

An anonymous representative of local police said:

“This is purely the driver’s responsibi lity although the men who were passengers were clearly foolish.

“Against all the established rules he put the life and health of his passengers on the line. Sadly despite tragic accidents it does not seem to serve as a lesson for certain motorists.”

Of f icer s have al so stressed that behaviour like this is unacceptable in public places, and especially on a road.

But some viewers of the mobile phone footage seemed impressed with the group’s creativity.

‘ Koly Anonim’ said: “If our government sees people having a good time they will do their very best to dash it immediately.”

Others however were also critical, with one viewer adding: “They behave as if they were kids. So shameful.”— Mirror Online
