Club 263 opens in Mutare

IN A welcome developmen­t for Mutare’s showbiz industry, a new uptown market entertainm­ent joint, Club 263, will tonight (Friday) open its doors in the city centre.

The club, owned by prominent Harare-based show promoter, businessma­n and Devine Assignment­s founder, Biggie Chinoperek­wei, will be the third branch after having establishe­d in Bulawayo.

The joint comes with a wide range of spectacula­r packages, among them an opulent lounge that enables fun lovers to have private gatherings, meetings and parties while boozing.

Celebrated emcee, DJ Stavo, MC Abisha Palmer X, DJ Too Bad will this weekend perform at the venue as part of the opening celebratio­ns.

The joint is situated adjacent Megawatt Building where the now defunct night club, Gullivers was housed.

Chinoperek­wei told The Weekender Entertainm­ent that spreading tentacles to the eastern border had always been their wish.

“We would meet our patrons and fun lovers in Harare and Bulawayo who asked us to establish a joint in Mutare and we are happy that the dream has been fulfilled.

“We will officially open the doors tonight with an array of entertaine­rs expected to be part of the opening ceremony,” he said.

Chipped in another member of the Devine Assignment­s management, Tatenda Gwatidzo: “This will be an ideal platform for pleasure seekers and socialites to have fun. The place will also be ideal for birthday parties, students nights, reggae nights among other festivitie­s. We will be open everyday.”

Club 263 joins other entertainm­ent hotspots in the Devine Assignment­s family such as Cecil Hotel, Club Connect, Archie’s, Private Lounge Harare and Private Lounge Bulawayo, Holly’s Hotel and City Sports Bar.
