I LIKE the way Dynamos is upholding professionalism. We are feeling happy as soccer-loving fans because we are among the big teams on the log table. Yes, things are getting tough bit by bit in this PSL this season, but as true Dynamos supporters, we are in a good mood these days. Dynamos are the kings of local football and there is no two ways about it.— Mwedzi.

The 2018 harmonised elections are around the corner. We must register to vote. As youths, we are ready to vote for President Mugabe. United we stand, divided we fall. We want unity in the party. South Africa is in trouble now because of what the late former president Nelson Mandela did when he called for equal rights for blacks and whites. We must thank our President for repossessing the land. We can’t vote for a president who has nothing to offer us like opposition parties. — Patrick Chandiwana.

What is called the best finance minister in Africa is the one who has the dispensary unit for the IMF. Prescriptions from IMF are designed to mislead developing countries. A case in point is when our economy was galloping with free education for all and health for all. We had many people employed as the economy enjoyed a new lease of life soon after independence. Irked by these new developments, the same IMF hired economists and industrialists to embark on a crusade to denounce the policies as socialist and a drain to the fiscus despite posting economic growth. Many schools, colleges, clinics, hospitals and dams were built in a short space of time, unparalleled in history. ESAP raped the economy and the same economists, agents of IMF are now on the offensive, denouncing every move and action by Government just to pave way for their wishful blueprints of no substance and merit. — Richard Chauke.

People who operate shops in rural areas should have other means to transport their groceries. Transporting them on kombis is high risk as this leads to overloading. Imagine a kombi with seats full of cartons of sugar, bags of cement and crates of beer? My advice to them is that they should pool their resources and hire small trucks. Kombis are for passengers, not goods. — Tawanda Mhlanga,

When all sacred sites were identified by missionaries, they were either desecrated or fenced in large farms emblazoned with the common warning, “TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED”. This was to cut the traditional religious line of communication with God. After this, was the moment of brutality. Chiefs and spirit mediums who resisted the foreign occupations were banished, hanged or beheaded as a way of containing uprisings. The import of this article is to ring sense that Chimurenga has its roots in the grain of the soil of our land, not to end by individuals’ demise. The Rhodesian Forces were ruthless in attack, killed as many as if to plant more freedom fighters who germinated with fire. Today President Mugabe and ZANU-PF are under attack with the belief that President Mugabe is the high wall blocking the free will of imperialism. Even historians admit that Chimurenga is an inspirational spiritual force never to die. — Mahuhushe.

ZIMPAPERS should be offensive on the market to consolidate its position as the market leaders of public information through the electronic and print media. Taking advantage of ICTs, we have individuals printing their diaries of rumours and fiction printed on bond paper to sell as newspapers on the streets. Some have six pages, selling for $1 a copy. It is for lack of balanced stories that we urge the shark to also swim in shallow waters to raise the waves for the small fish to dry on the beach. — 0777 361 034.

***** Congratulations, makorokoto DeMbare boys for winning the Harare Derby. This was a thrilling encounter, with each team showcasing its capabilities. It was a 90-minute do-ordie match, with Dynamos attacking at its best. The striking force DeMbare had on that day was in very fine form. Caps’ defence was very porous which resulted in many blunders. The mistakes by Makepekepe paid dividends for the boys in blue.

As a Caps super fan, our team lacked goal-hungry strikers and this was a blessing to Samaita and his team. A De- Mbare striker scored a brace showing a lapse in concentration in Caps’s defence. Since the sky was clear blue that day, it was in favour of DeMbare. Chitembwe needs to be serious, otherwise Caps will soon be fighting relegation. Professionalism must take centre stage in our camp or we risk losing the remaining fixtures. — Zondi, NHB, Sakubva.

The issue of money shortages is a thorn in many people’s flesh. Long winding and exhausting queues are seen in many banks due to the cash crisis. What surprises me most is that you get whatever amount you want at an interest from most street corners. Where do they get such huge amounts of money individually to transact on the streets whereas banks are always short of cash? Some bank officials are working in cahoots with these money vendors. Many senior citizens sleep on pavements waiting for cash from banks. Can the Government put these dealings to an end. Police should act immediately and arrest such perpetrators. — 0772 589 868.
