YOUTHS should desist from drugs, alcohol and sexual abuse. This is rampant in most of our ghettoes. Drinking and making love is what our youths are now expects at. This leads to many social problems. Prostitution, binge drinking and endless fights are now the order of the day. Our youths have lost hope in life, everything to them is hopeless. It is so sad that young people’s productive years are being lost.—

It is very sad the two late widows of former Vice-Presidents, Simon Muzenda and Joseph Msika, Gogo Moudy Muzenda and Gogo Maria Msika, died on the same date (22) though different months. Gogo Muzenda died on August 22, while Gogo Msika died on September 22. May their dear souls RIP. —

Single mothers should learn to respect their children. Bringing boyfriends of different sizes and shapes to their homes where there are kids affects them. Those who have small rooms should ask their children to go outside while they enjoy themselves with their boyfriends. My advice to them is that being a single mother does not take away your responsibilities as a mother. Children need to be led by example. —

It is not good when people relieve themselves in the open. Our city does not have enough ablution facilities, but most people are lazy to go to the nearest toilet. At Moto Moto fresh human waste is all over the place in the morning. This is disgusting, to say the least. In the high-density areas, open defecation is now common. Let us be health conscious as residents. The sight of smelling and rotten human waste is just disgusting. Let us be hygienic.—

These blacks with white blood who are the willing tools of imperialism should learn to reason than to be sorry sight eluded by facts. Burma is not a banana republic. They spit venom at those defending their independence to think they are smart and intelligent by being the front line of offensive forces. What are you teaching our children? Some people have their skulls filled with sand, not brains. Burma was invaded by the British for teak and rice. The Japanese promised them independence when it was to make Burma their colony. This left the Burmese fighting two enemies for their land. In a turn of events, the British and Burmese combined forces to kick out the Japanese. Burma, just like Zimbabwe, is being persecuted for refusing to be ridden like a mule.—

Zimbabwe is a peaceful nation, but touts are disturbing our peace. At major ranks, touts have become the law unto themselves. They harass people, steal from them and recently they killed a person. We appeal to our law enforcement agents to deal with them ruthlessly. The travelling public need peace and protection at ranks. We have laws in the law books which can deal with these thugs.—

Premiership hopefuls in Mutare need to be serious. They are always in and out of the top-flight league, thereby wasting resources. Mutare City Rovers and Buffaloes have over the years proved to be premiership tourists. They just get promoted to be relegated. If Premiership promotion means nothing to these teams, why block Tenax. They have what it takes to be PSL material. From coaches to players, surely we have our own Barcelona in Mutare. One doesn’t need to board a plane to watch Barcelona playing in Spain. All you need is a dollar and come to Sakubva Stadium to watch entertaining soccer from Tenax. —

Pick n Pay Supermarket in Sakubva must improve on cleanliness and hygienic standards. At times stale meat is mixed with good meat and this is a health hazard to consumers. The management should work to address this problem. Food must be fresh. Stale products must be removed from the shelves and fridges. Management and staff should sort out this mess or risk losing customers.— 0771 396 344.

ZBC-TV, this idea of not screening a film to its end causes suspension of disbelief. You leave us hanging by a thin thread on a steep cliff. The film, “Zambezi Expedition” ended unceremoniously.

I hate travellers who board non-public transport at illegal pick-up points only to cry foul when they are kidnapped, raped or involved in an accident. You have yourselves to blame. —

What is the real name of ZBC-TV’s “Positive Talk” presenter? At one time she is referred as Tariro Makanga and the next is referred as Tariro Chikumbirike. Let us begin “Positive Talk” with her. Changing names and/or refusing to use marriage names is the beginning of psychological mischief with women. They are best known for not accepting marriage status and refer lovers as relatives. —Viewer.

Touts famously known as hwindis have caused mayhem at bus ranks, imagine taking away someone’s life. They have taken the law into their hands. The right end of the whip should not hesitate to land on such elements. They should be banned on ranks. Until when shall we continue to be silent like a snake being killed by these touts? — Martin Kayerasora, Tsukumai Farm, Headlands.
