THE album was recorded and produced by Afro-pop musician Charlton Torinto, fondly known in the music circles as Trapper at his studio, Excetror. It features five other upcoming artistes who are in a serious quest to carve their names in the Afro-pop and hip-hop genres in the eastern border city.

The artistes who comprise G Kay, Young Ice, 350, Alfa and Mystery unveiled the project at Spar Woza Sum- mer Promotion launch last month.

Songs carried on the album are Diamond FM chart-topping single, “Better”, sung by Trapper. Other songs on the album are ‘‘Mwana Wamambo’’, ‘‘ Kugara Newe’’, ‘‘ Gogo’’ and ‘‘Tchelete’’.

Trapper said “Nyanzvi Dzetsvimbo” was a movement which would see up and coming musicians grow into big brands recognised countrywide.

He said songs on the project comprised themes such as love, poverty, betrayal and deception among others.

“We have been marketing the album online and also through our distribution network which has been growing. CDs are available at Spar supermarkets and at Diamond FM,” Trapper said.

Trapper marked his entrance into the music scene in 2010 with fairly done tracks such as ‘‘Tiri Muclub’’ and ‘‘Ndaramba’’.

He sunk into oblivion after that and resurfaced four years later with a single, ‘‘Maidei’’.
