UPCOMING gospel artiste Albert Matinyadze will release his debut album titled “Ndiri Mwana Wehumambo” next week.

The seven-track album was recorded at Lifetime Media and produced by Ngoni Mashezha.

He is confident that the debut project will propel him to the top table of local gospel music.

“I hope my upcoming project will reach out to many and take my music career to another level. My target audience is people of all age groups and the theme is based on the word of God and social settings.

“I look at the way people live, the challenges they face and then create my music model it around biblical message,” he said.

Matinyadze said his Christian background influenced his decision to choose the gospel genre.

He also is looking forward to collaborate with various local and international artistes, have videos for his album and market his music through live shows and online.

“I felt I could put my message across more effectively through gospel music. I am also looking forward to do collaborations with various artists as well as doing live shows to market my music,” he said.

Songs to look out for on the album include the title track “Ndiri Mwana Wehumambo”, “Glory”, “Handineti kutenda”, “Weminana”, “Hakuna Zita”, “We Praise”, “Watipa Mukana”, “Blessed”, “Forward I go” and “Hallelujah”.

In the song “Ndiri Mwana Wehumambo”, the artiste fused gospel beats to come up with a danceable, well-packaged rhythm while some of the tracks have a laid-back beat.

Matinyadze burst on the music scene this year with a debut single Hallelujah.

The single received fair airplay on radio stations.
