Don’t kill to enhance non-performing businesses

-

Editor – Once again I wish to implore our business people not to be lured into believing that human parts can enhance their businesses. Of late, the media has been awash with reports of “mabhinya” waylaying school kids intending to kill them for ritual purposes. The process usual starts with someone whose business isn’t performing very well consulting a n’anga or prophet healer who advises him or her to kill a person, cut off some parts such as the head or genitals, which are then mixed with some concoction and buried in the business to make it work. This is complete nonsense and should stop as it is the work of the devil and there is no proof of where it has worked anywhere in the world.

As chairman of the business community in my home district Chipinge, may I ask our esteemed business people not to be involved in such evil practices but to attend business training courses such as those provided by colleges and some NGOs. The truth is that good business practices such as advertising, customer care, and regular stocktaking and above all, simple prayer can bring success to business without spilling blood.

Also in my capacity as chairman of all traditional healers in Manicaland, ask fellow healers to desist from making prescriptions that kill instead of healing.

There are so many alternative traditional business enhancing techniques using plant material such as mukokakoka, chaunga, muchena, saki renhunzi, as well animal material such as sheep fat NOT HUMAN PARTS ! May I also appeal to our new dispensation government through the SME ministry to re-introduce business training in all districts so as to empower our entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to succeed without the need to murder someone to enhance a non-performing business. Sekuru James Gabaza.
