ED is right on ACUP

-

EDITOR – President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s latest action to fight corruption by establishing Anti-Corruption Unit Prosecutors (ACUP) is commendable. Corruption is the cancer affecting our economy and the perpetrators must face the music.

As we take this route, focus should be on the economy than politics. In the same vein, investors are responding well to Government’s efforts to level the economic ground. As citizens of this great nation, we should deal mercilessly with corruption. This cancer is rife in all sectors and sections of the economy. The moment we eradicate corruption, the economic drive becomes more viable and efficient.

In the political field, President ED is trying his best to straighten the wrongs perpetrated by the administration of former president Mr Robert Mugabe. He is the right transform Zimbabwe into a land honey and milk. We should give him enough time to take remedial action. It took decades for Mr Mugabe to destroy the economy, and it is unfair to expect President Mnangagwa to revive the economy overnight. Such expectations are unrealistic and misplaced.

Our economy cannot be revived overnight. Economic revival is a process. In the same regard, it is clear now that ED’s administration is there to confront the naysayers who are trying to devalue the country’s progress. ED is a man of action and we should appreciate all his efforts to revive a dead economy. We say support you for boldly saying No to corruption.

Viva ED! Long live ED. Long Live Zimbabwe. With ED, Zimbabwe is in safe hands.
