FRANKLY, the past three weeks were hectic for political parties. Now that primary elections are over, we appeal to all political parties to expeditiously deal with all misunderstandings around elections before July 30, 2018 so that we have a credible and conclusive electoral outcome. — Resident.

To help young politicians build better profiles that resonate with our national agenda, they should pass through the hammer mill. Many of these guys are better off as comedians than politicians. — Mahuhushe.

The winter is upon us and kombi crews should improve their personal hygiene. Imagine sitting next to a conductor with stench armpits. It is unhygienic. — Tawanda Mhlanga.

A middle rank police officer was denied a free ride in a kombi and then assaulted the conductor, prompting some hwindis to team up and retaliate. Who then is to blame? — Mhlanga.

The mushrooming of pre-schools is worrisome. The number of unregistered residential nursery schools is growing daily and my appeal to Government is to close those operating legally. Surely something must be done because this will kill our education system. All pre-schools should either register with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education or be closed. — TM, Mutare.

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s mantra of economy first and politics later is more worthwhile and commendable. This will improve lives of ordinary citizens and end decades of suffering under the previous regime. In my view, ED’s efforts will bear fruit in the near future. We must talk much about development than politics. ED’s Government is on the right track. Zimbabwe will never be the same. — Patriot.

Mutare City Rovers should not remain side at the basement of the PSL log and carry all the other teams like crowns. Gusha Bhora must survive relegation. Unfortunately, members of the executive blame the technical department when its systems are pulling down the club. Right now Gusha Bhora are guests at Vengere Stadium because Sakubva Stadium has been banned. Mutare City that should have renovated the stadium to meet PSL standards. — Soccer lover.

We should all rally our support for Gusha Bhora to make sure that Manicaland province has a team in the PSL. This is good for football than have soccer concentrated in Harare and Bulawayo. This sidelines talent in remote areas. Mutare City Rovers should stand out to be counted than donate points and be relegated. — Richard Mahuhushe Chauke.

It is not entirely true to say Zimbabwe has no traditional attire. We as the Venda and Shangani have the trademark clothing that easily identifies and defines us. We are also Zimbabweans. Any group of people without itw unique traditional attire should not speak on behalf of the rest of us. — Culturalist.

What has the $15 billion investigation by the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy yielded? Nothing, was this yet another way to appear busy yet doing nothing. How many diamond thievery guests do we have at Chikurubi Maximum Prison? —Chiadzwa.

In the past Councillors were not just ordinary citizens. They were pensioners or retired public servants with a track record of service delivery. We have mixed up things and one with cash can bribe or is imposed by the leadership to be councillor. No wonder the vision of the towns have been lost as proved by failed urban planning and poor service delivery. — Chipinge.

ED is breathing hope in a polarised nation coupled with a battered economy. Actually ED is on the right track. The side shows to distract him will not stop the crew from safely steering the ship to its destination. — Chimanimani citizen.

It is an open secret that democracy is now thriving in the country and we give thanks to the new dispensation. l feel delighted that the recent MDC Alliance demo was peaceful. President ED should be hailed for maintaining peace and order in the country. Surely the new dawn is upon us. — Buhera.

The humiliation of Mutare City Rovers spokesperson Clayton Masekesa has received mixed reactions from the public. l think people were supposed to report him to police than to take the law into their hands. No one is above the law. In today’s world, mob justice is unacceptable. Those criminals must face the full wrath of the law. — Moralist.

May l convey my congratulations to the Warriors for winning 2018 COSAFA CUP. Surely, our boys played well and made us proud. They managed to withstand pressure against Zambia and their modern skills on the field of play were on point. l also want take this moment to thank the coach Sunday Chidzambwa for putting our country on the map again. May l also thank Prophet Walter Magaya for supporting our boys financially and through the provision of accommodation . — Soccer Lover.
