CBZ must utilise Ecocash facility

EDITOR. — I write on behalf of every Zimbabwean who banks with CBZ.

Why did they cancel a facility of transferring money from the Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe (CBZ ) account into the Ecocash when other banks are still doing it.

They want people to go and queue at their bank, giving them a paltry $40 instead of just allowing them to transfer the money into my Ecocash wallet then I do other transactions.

Your bank is not everywhere so do you expect some people to swipe even when they are in the rural areas?

May CBZ come out in the open and tell the nation why they stopped the facility. We are living in a nation where plastic money is being encouraged but CBZ has taken us by surprise by going against the grain.

Even our President encourages the paperless transactions but CBZ has left thousands of people in the cold. I think they want people to queue at their banks so that they will blame the Government when they are the ones who created the problem.

CBZ owes us an apology and should revert to the self service system. They want to create a problem towards elections and we cannot watch it happen.

Please don’t fuel troubles for our beloved nation where we currently have a visionary leader, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa Worried Client.
