Clash of two cities on hold, again

THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League action, which was supposed to return this weekend after a one-week election break, will be put on hold for another weekend and Mutare City Rovers will face Harare City at Rufaro Stadium next Saturday.

The Premier Soccer League , in consultation with its key stakeholders has postponed the Castle LAGER PSL Match day 21 fixtures scheduled for the weekend of August 4 to 5 2018

We will advice on the reschedule dates in due course.

Maximum points are needed for the Ndega Matsika coached side as they are already sinking deep in the relegation zone.

Sunshine Boys are hoping to continue with their fine form which has seen them occupy a respective seventh position with 31 points from 20 league matches.

Both Gusha Bhora and Sunshine Boys are desperately in need of three points that would make significant move up the log standings.

In their last encounter before the break, Gusha Bhora lost 1-0 to Chicken Inn at home and that result left City Rovers with 11 points from 20 rounds of league matches.

Gusha Bhora caretaker coach Ndega Matsika has set the target of winning most their remaining matches to stand a chance of surviving relegation.

“At this point and time, we need to be more focused on our remaining games. All we need is to win most of our remaining matches and it will help us greatly. We need all the support from our fans and our players need the right mindsets.

“We will remain in the top flight and survive the chop. We are going to face Harare City and it will not be an easy encounter but we will do our level best,” he said.
