Restore sanity at Hobehouse rank

-

EDITOR — Thank you for allowing me space in your widely read newspapers to air my grievances to the authorities responsible for restoration of order. This letter is directed to either police or other security actors who once helped to restore order at Hobhouse rank.

There is chaos at the Hobhouse rank such that some of the kombis are being loaded while interfering with traffic moving along First Street.

There is total chaos. The biggest problem is with kombis that use the Magamba route. From 5pm to 7pm, Hobhouse residents will be having a nightmare with almost all the kombis carrying commuters only as far as Acid turn-off or the tuck shop near the water tank.

Because they all load at once, this has resulted in some kombis loading while idling along First Street, putting the lives of passengers and other motorists at risk.

Police are usually there, but are turning a blind eye on this life threatening chaos. During and soon after Operation Restore Legacy, there was order but right now touts are proving a problematic lot at this rank.

Please may the uniformed forces be deployed once again and sort out the mess at this rank before precious lives are lost. We need to have two lines of kombis, one for those going to Acid and the other for those going to Hobhouse to avoid short changing commuters going to the latter destination.

Thank you in advance for attending to this mess at Hobhouse rank.

Yours Concerned Commuter
