Government should be commended for coming to the rescue of oppressed textile workers, especially women, by ordering their removal from night shifts. Women, as compared to men and are caregivers and need to spend more time with their families.

Most families tear apart because of the absence of mother figures at home. — Moralist

The initiative by Government will indeed rescue many families who lost mother figures because of work. I really appreciate this move by the Government.

What more do we need when we have a President that respects and understands women? Women carry heavy burdens as compared to their male counterparts.

They have to deal with both work and family issues and need more flexible working conditions. I would like to thank the Government for such a great initiative. — Kadzura Harare

Zimbabwe websites are once again a target of hackers, but lack ability to protect themselves.

I have been advising the Government, through the Ministry of ICT and Cyber Security and the Office of the President and Cabinet.

Let us not ignore this cyber security threat. This is the beginning. — Engineer Jacob Kudzayi Mutisi

May the responsible ministry help curb school girls marriages in our beautiful Mutasa district, which seems to be on the increase.

The girls are falling prey to man over 18 and it seems there is no one keen to help. Marrying under age girls is a criminal offence, yet some do it openly. Letting the culprits going scot-free is sending wrong signals to community. It would appear at if it is lawful and permissible. — Mutasa

The position of Rusape Town Council chairman should be occupied by a mature and visionary leader.

We need an organised person who is capable of managing himself, fellow councillors and hold those in the management corridors to account. — Nharo

*****

When voting to choose the town chairman, consideration should not about on whether someone is MDC or ZANU or Mthwakazi.

It should be about the candidate who appreciates and understand issues affecting the residents and community at large.

As residents, we need someone who can push for service delivery improvement, accountability, engagement of residents and transparency.

We voted for our parties as residents and it’s now up to the elected councillors to select the best individual to captain Rusape Town Council. — Vengere
