Speak up Africa
IT is unfortunate that the very people who boast about democracy and human rights championship are on the fore-front of violating the same rights they claim to safeguard. It is a shame that racism is still at play in America in this day and age. Why do they forget that they slave traded us in their nations? They should now be ready for the growing African-American population and live with them peacefully. The murder of George Floyd by the American police officer is an unacceptable barbaric act.
If Floyd had a case to answer, why did they not arrest and subject him to a fair trial? They violated his right to life, right to a fair trial, right to a family, freedom of choice of legal representative and freedom of speech.
Imagine how many rights have been violated for his family?
Why can’t America practice what it preaches? How many lives have been lost through bombings and other atrocities? We condemn this barbaric act. United Nations should take a position now. African leaders should also be united and strongly condemn this barbaric act.
I am surprised by the silence of some prominent political and human rights figures in Zimbabwe, this clearly shows that they are puppets of the West. — Itai Kariparire Mabhobho.

Zesa letting us down
The Zesa platform must enable us to buy electricity tokens whenever we need them. It doesn’t matter how many people want to buy the tokens during the first week of the month.
Even if every Zimbabwean wants to buy at the same time, the system must have that capability. There is also need for sub-offices to decentralise to townships and residential areas. — Zimbo.
