OUR country has moved from Level Two national lockdown back to Level Four for 30 days, with a few additions suspending permission for church services and other gatherings. This lockdown restrictions did not need tightening up, they needed to be adhered to. When you walk around the streets you can see that people are just not adhering to Covid-19 regulations.

The biggest question is that why are Zimbabweans so relaxed? In rural areas, traditional leaders must descend heavily on those moving around without masks. They should encourage people to wear masks.

Some only wear masks after coming across a police officer. If you are wearing a mask for fear of being arrested, you need to seriously reconsider your actions. We should all be responsible. Let us try as much as possible to adhere to the regulations so that we are safe as a country. — Panashe T

With churches closing their doors across the globe, it is time for us to show that the church has never been about the building. WE are the church. Let us do the work of the LORD. This is the Time. — Comfort

While acknowledging the need for collective measures to contain the recent upsurge of Covid-19 positive cases and deaths, as an urgent matter of public interest, we vendors are concerned that market places have been placed on outright closure. It would have been preferable if licenced traders were allowed to continue operating with strict Covid19 protocols compliance. — Takura P

Keeping huge grocery supplies at home is the way to go for those who can afford. It is important to avoid the spread of Covid-19 by buying in bulk to avoid unnecessary movements during the lockdown.

Limiting movements during the lockdown to avoid contracting Covid-19 is important as cases keep going up.

The disease is deadly, we should minimise risk of travelling during this lockdown and it is also essential to obey the laid down rules to stop the spread of the virus.— Mai Tanaka *** Manufacturing and controlling of medicinal drugs mean controlling the world and having a stake in the world economy. In the wake of this pandemic, the fact that zumbani can contain Covid-19 was downplayed by the powerful countries. We have zumbani growing naturally in many parts of Africa including Zimbabwe. There is fear to approve zumbani as a remedy because that will make Africa a multi-trillion dollar economy from just one herb that will treat a disease wreaking havoc across the world. As Africa, we are blessed, but not all see things the same way.— Totally African

My advice to all Zimbabweans is that we should be responsible in the midst of a surge in Covid-19 cases. This is not about someone, but you, your family and the general public. This is a phase that will pass and we just need to remain strong. — Ba Marlo
