Banker in trouble over open zip

- Tendai Gukutikwa Weekender Correspondent

CONTROVERSIAL Mutare bank manager, Tawanda Musoso’s open zip policy has continued courting problems for him after being dragged to court by another baby mama for neglecting his minor child.

Musoso who was taken to court last week by Agatha Mufambi, the mother of one of his children, consented to have the maintenance he was paying for his child varied up to $1 700.

Through his legal representative, Mutare lawyer, Mr Justice Fusire, Musoso said the $1 700 was the same amount he was forking out per child for his two other children.

Mufambi also complained to the court that Musoso was refusing to acquire a birth certificate for the minor child.

The court ordered Musoso to ensure that the child has a birth certificate by the end of business today (Friday).

Mufambi also consented to the $1 700 monthly maintenance for her minor child.

Just towards the end of last year, Musoso was also taken to court by his ex-wife, Clemencia Madewekunze, the mother of his two other children.

Madewekunze said she resorted to seek the court’s intervention after Musoso ignored her repeated pleas to provide for the children.

According to a pay slip brought before the courts then, Musoso was earning $7 000.

However, Madewekunze claimed that Musoso’s boss had informed her that his salary would be doubled that same month.

“He should look after his children because he is financially stable. I am a vendor who gets $2 000 every month. My two children and I have been surviving on that money.

‘‘He does not bother to spare a cent for his children,” said Madewekunze then.

Musoso offered to pay $1 000 for each child. He claimed that was he was paying maintenance for the child he sired with Mufambi, therefore he could not afford to pay more to Madewekunze.

When Madewekunze disputed Musoso’s claims of having another child, the maintenance record for the other child was pulled from the Clerk of Court’s Office.

The court resolved that Musoso pays $3 400 monthly for the two children’s upkeep.
