Dendera feel for Mutare fans

DENDERA music prodigy, Tryson Chimbetu, returns to his favourite hunting ground tomorrow for a potentiall­y-explosive performanc­e. Backed by The Marxist Brothers, the youthful singer says he will play fresh songs from his forthcomin­g album due for release before the end of year.

He is also expected to play some of his popular tracks such as Mikayla, Chihera, Maria, Chitima and Juliana. The venue which is situated in Dangamvura will see patrons being treated to free offals as well as affordable booze and meat. The show starts at 2pm.

Zvidozveva­nhu Bar and Grill

New school soundmen, Kartel Promotions, take their performanc­e to the watering hole situated about 40km along the Mutare-Chimaniman­i Highway.

The open air joint which is near Mupudzi Dam recently held a sold-out show where correction­al services musical outfit, ZPCS Band, put up a sterling show. The show starts tomorrow at 2pm.

Manicaland Motoring Club

Rising local Afro-jazz outfit, Ferengwani Band, takes their maiden commercial show to the spacious venue tonight (Friday). The band specialise­s in traditiona­l and contempora­ry music. The show starts at 6pm till late. Resident deejays will entertain patrons before and after the gig.

Chitsa Bar and Lounge

Afro-jazz sensation, Mutare Samanyanga, performs at the entertainm­ent joint on Sunday.

The show starts at 3pm. The talented musician has become popular for performing the late national hero, Oliver Mtukudzi’s songs. Backed by the Uprising Spirits, the husky-voiced artiste is also expected to entertain fans with his own compositio­ns. Resident DJs Spillz and Wizzy will entertain revellers from Friday to Sunday.

Fourth Gardens

Situated in the plush suburb of Murambi, the venue this and other Sundays host local deejays who will entertain swimming and outdoor fun enthusiast­s. Fun lovers enjoy other activities such as braai, free offals and mazondo.

Music will be courtesy of DJ Lampy and other wheel spinners. Dubbed ‘Throwback Wet Sundays’, the event starts at 2pm till the last man drops.

Micasa

Resident DJs Frazer and Terminator take turns to entertain revellers at the upmarket entertainm­ent joint from tonight till Sunday. Reggae music lovers are in for a treat every Wednesday as local outfit, Just Friends, perform with a live band. Steve Chikotie headlines the Sunday Jazz Night this and every Sunday.
