Minister Mugadza on right track Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza comes along as an all-action man on a mission to transform the province and its fortunes. He has started his tenure well by being hands-on in ensuring that work on some of the major projects in Manicaland like the construction of the Christmas Pass Bypass Road, establishment of a new dry port and construction of the gemmology centre take shape or are expedited. Minister Mugadza deserves all the support he can get from all stakeholders to ensure that Manicaland realise its potential and turn into one of the country’s economic hubs. We wish him a fruitful time in office. —
Intensify drug abuse fight
The ongoing anti-drugs campaign by the police and other arms of the Government must be intensified.
The scourge is having serious impact on communities and the detrimental effects of substance abuse on personal health are profound.
Other stakeholders like churches, traditional leaders, schools and corporates must join in the fight to eradicate the peddling and use of illegal drugs. Attainment of an empowered and prosperous upper middle income society requires a drug-free generation that can take up leadership positions in the future. —
