SON of the late legendary musician, Biggie Tembo, Eriah Tembo will descend on Mutare for the first time this year for a double header at the watering hole situated at the city centre.

Tembo, who aims to keep his late father’s legacy alive will perform tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).

Tembo is popular for songs such as Dai Waiziva which features Killer T, Ndazomuwan­a, a song he did with Roki and Musamurege­rere. Backed by Bhundu Legacy Band, Tembo is expected to belt out own compositio­ns as well as songs from his late father’s rich discograph­y such as Wafungeiko,

Chekudya Chose and Simbimbino among others. The shows start at 8pm.

Liquor Tap

The newly-opened joint situated at Sanhanga Building introduces Karaoke nights on Fridays and Saturdays.

Guests will be entertaine­d by new and old school music from selected DJs, while they enjoy ciders, beers, whiskies, cocktails, mocktails, shisha at an enticing price. Soccer enthusiast­s will also be treated to some specials such as snacks and complement­ary braai.

Chitsa Bar and Liquids

The joint will host Eriah Tembo and The Bhundu Legacy Band on Sunday in a potentiall­y explosive show.

The Dai Waiziva hit-maker looks forward to a memorable date with his fans in the sprawling suburb. He will be performing at the venue for the first time.

On Saturday, the venue will host an entertainm­ent fiesta dubbed, Summer Groove Theory Part One which will be headlined by DJS T-Muffin and Popinjo, while Diamond FM’s presenter, Kritic Igwe will be the guest DJ. Resident DJs, Spillz and Wizzy will entertain revellers during the whole weekend.

Micasa

As the English Premier League soccer reaches its climax, resident deejays, Cape Lorel, Frazer and Terminator will be entertaini­ng football and fun lovers who frequent the joint every weekend.

The joint reintroduc­es MaRasta Wednesdays which has become a darling of many. It largely caters for reggae and conscious music fanatics, while patrons who fancy jazz and Afro-jazz music will be in for a treat on AfroJazz Thursday sessions.

Acid Bar

Youthful DJ Yala, who is popular among music lovers in Chikanga will entertain fun lovers in the ghetto with an assortment of music this weekend.

He is expected to provide musical therapy to the home team, Acid Pool Club which is coming from a successful pool season which ended recently.
