Therapist opens beauty school in Mutare

-

LAUREATE Le International Beauty School based in Johannesburg, South Africa is spreading its tentacles to Zimbabwe.

The internationally acclaimed beauty school recently opened its doors in Harare’s Greendale suburb, and will soon be enrolling students in Mutare.

The founder of the international beauty school, Lorraine Marira, has imparted knowledge to different beauty therapists in South Africa.

Marira boasts of 15 years experience in the beauty industry, having worked for different international beauty brands before setting up her school in South Africa.

She has worked with South Africa’s Department of Correctional Services, imparting beauty skills to female inmates as part of their re-integration process into the society once released.

“We will be opening beauty schools in Mutare and Bulawayo, and this will help aspiring students to cut on travelling and accommodation expenses.

“The schools will be grooming and providing outstanding training to students in Mutare and Bulawayo. Our qualified trainers offer training according to international standards,” said Marira.

Marira said after working for so many years in South Africa, she decided to impart the knowledge she acquired to her fellow country mates.

“We received a very good response in Harare, and we are also working with a top hotel chain offering spa treatments to their guests,” she said.

She said the courses they will be offering will vary, and some students will get certificates after three months, while others will get diplomas after enrolling for one year.

Marira said her beauty school, unlike others, provides all the necessary equipment that is needed for practical lessons.

“At our school we learn by doing. We focus on equipping our students with all the necessary practical skills,” she said.

Laureate Le International Beauty School is recognised under the International Esthetics, Cosmetics, and Arts Education Board (IECAB), a globally recognised accrediting body dedicated to maintaining high standards in esthetics, cosmetics, and arts education.

“This body evaluates and approves institutions, like our beauty school, based on rigorous criteria to ensure the delivery of quality education and industry-relevant programmes,” said Marira.

The school is offering courses ranging from cosmetology, aesthetics and nail technology, just to mention a few.
