Blood will continue spilling
EDITOR - I refer to the recent fatal road accidents, and the subsequent comments on them. It seems that we Zimbabweans are fond of dealing with symptoms, rather than causes to any problem.
In this particular case, I understand from the Chimurenga series regularly flighted in The Sunday Mail that those comrades who perished in the bush during the war should have had their spirits brought back into the free Zimbabwe, via a national ritual to appease them.
Nothing was done in this regard, especially for those comrades who were forced to join the struggle. So mweya yekudeuraropa will continue terrorising this country, whatever cosmetic measures are put in place to curb shedding of blood.
According to Nehanda’s prophecy, the ritual is only one of six others which should have been done on attainment of Independence.
Since none were done, we continue to face the unusual political, economic and social ills such as puppet opposition, factionalism, international focus, corporate and public corruption, unstable economy, skills flight, moral decadence, chronic diseases, persistent poverty, false prophecies and a restive citizenry generally.
Nehanda led the war effort successfully and so why and how can we then ignore her six commandments?
