The institution plans to relocate to the RCU Main Campus, situated 7km outside Masvingo town along Bulawayo Road at the beginning of the second semester, reinforcing the University's multi-campus strategic vision of bringing student convenience by offering higher education at three campuses; Main Campus near Masvingo town, Morgenster Campus at Morgenster Mission and Harare Campus in Highfield.

Commenting on the latest development, RCU Vice Chancellor Professor Wiseman Magwa said, after a few years of anticipation, the construction of the first phase of the RCU's Main Campus is reaching the final stages, as builders are seized with crafting finishing touches on several structures at the permanent home of the University.

“The infrastructure development at the RCU Main Campus strengthens the University's systematic approach to bringing convenience and value for money to its students,” Professor Magwa added.

The RCU Vice Chancellor further explained that the construction of the Main Campus is being done with the view to improve access to quality education in Masvingo town and beyond a move which shall see employed students being enrolled for weekend and evening classes in various degree programmes at the new campus at affordable tuition fees.

The Faculty of Commerce shall be the first one to relocate to the RCU Main Campus while the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Arts, Theology and Religious Studies will continue to operate from Morgenster Mission until the institution has constructed enough lecture rooms and accommodation.
