Over the past couple of years, there has been a general decline in prices of most goods and services yet municipal charges remained static.

Affordable charges improve payment compliance and contribute towards the ease of doing business.

Business and residents must press for a reduction of municipal charges during the forthcomin­g budget consultati­ons.
