These babies mean business!

THE Sunday Mail Jet Baby Competition is heading towards its climax — 120 beautiful tots have made it to the final stage. Elsewhere in this paper we publish all the finalists in preparation for voting, which begins next week.

The closing date for vote submissions is November 6, with the winning babies set to be announced on November 26. The prize-giving ceremony, where over US$12 000 worth of cash prizes and clothing vouchers are up for grabs, will be held on December 2 in the capital.

The partnership between Zimpapers and Jet Stores has seen the competition grow and the number of entries increasing each year.

Edgars Group marketing executive Rumbidzai Dzimba said the synergy with Zimpapers was paying dividends.

“Partnering Zimpapers in running the Baby of the Year competition has brought immense publicity and awareness to the Jet brand in Zimbabwe,” said Dzimba. “Our customers are in turn better educated about the competition and they are very excited about the wider variety of prizes on offer. It also strengthens Jet brand’s positioning as a family oriented clothing retailer.”

She said that the competition was playing a big role in promoting the welfare of babies.

“The main objective of running this competition, however, is to promote healthy babies, which is achieved by the various interactions held with competition entrants in Jet stores, via social media and other platforms.

“Parents also have an opportunity to showcase the new additions in their families, an activity that always carries with it a whole lot of excitement and anticipation.”

Dzimba shed more light on the Jet Baby brand and what they have to offer on the clothing market.

“Jet Baby is a brand that launched in the Zimbabwean market in 2011 when the Jet retail chain opened here. It is an internal clothing brand, sold exclusively in Jet stores in Africa. The brand offers a wide variety of season relevant, good quality product from clothing apparel, shoes, baby care and toys at affordable prices.”
