Chitown municipality not serious

- Letwin Chifamba

- I am an angry and disappointed citizen because of what happened to me last week.

How can a local authority in the name of Chitungwiza Municipality advertise in the local Press that the proposed Chitungwiza by-laws were open for inspection when they do not even have the copies of those proposed by-laws?

I wasted my fuel travelling to the municipality and they made me wait for more than four hours as they were saying that they were looking for the copies.

How can such a big local authority be so disorganised?

They first told me that I should go to the registry, but I could not access the copy.

I was then transferred to the information technology department and again the department did not have those copies.

I spent those four hours roaming around their office like a mad person.

If that is their day to day running of business, then the entire staff should be fired. How can a local authority have such incompetent employees?

I do not care if all of them lose their jobs because they are all useless. The local authority need a change so that it can have new and competent workers.

My failure to get served made me conclude that is what happens when people get too comfortable at their workplaces.
