Mukamba for CAPS debut

CAPS UNITED should brace for a tough outing in the City of Kings this afternoon, Bulawayo Chiefs coach Gartly Chipuka has warned. Newly promoted side Bulawayo Chiefs host Makepekepe at Luveve a week after surrendering a 2-0 lead against Yadah Stars in their debut top flight league match at Rufaro.

Chiefs drew 2-2 against Walter Magaya’s side and Chipuka believes his charges can go a step higher and shock Caps United this afternoon.

Chipuka confirmed to The Sunday Mail that they have managed to register three players ahead of today’s clash against Caps United

“Caps United are big team but we are not reading much into the tag, our focus is to get maximum points and utilise home advantage and hopefully we will come out victorious.

“We scored twice in our last match and they failed to score against Harare City, that gives my team some kind of confidence ahead of today’s match,” he said.

Caps United fired blanks in their league opener against Harare City at the National Sports last Sunday and coach Lloyd Chitembwe has demanded a response from his boys.

Chitembwe has reacted to that inept performance by dropping Wisdom Mutasa and roping in Denver Mukamba for the trip to Bulawayo.

John Zhuwawu looks set to lead the front-line for Caps United once again with Brian Muzondiwa playing off him.

Makepekepe are still unable to use their high profile signings Method Mwanjali and Oscar Machapa as the duo is yet to receive international clearances.
