ED has my vote

- Chamunorwa, Gweru

EDITOR — There are many people who have been wondering why President Mnangagwa was yet to start campaigning while his opposite number, Nelson Chamisa, had already started moving around the country selling his politics.

What should be noted is that the President has been travelling around the globe, not for fun, but to create relationships with other countries, a move that has seen many investors setting their eyes on local business opportunities after realising that the new dispensation is willing to do business with everyone.

That on its own should be seen as a campaign, on a national level.

As you might have realised, many leaders from around the globe who used to oppose Government under former President Robert Mugabe’s rule have made a u-turn and are showing that ED is the right leader who will take this country to the Promised Land.

I am sure by the time you get to read this letter, the President would have already addressed two rallies. Yes, Chamisa has been on a campaign trail, but the gospel he has been preaching is just too unrealistic.

At least President Mnangagwa is being truthful in highlighting that the economy will not be fixed in a single day as it is a process that takes time.

On the other hand, the MDC-Alliance, or whatever the party is called, has claimed that it can turn it into the USA in a single night.

Is Chamisa a magician? ED has my vote this time around.
