Harrison is miffed

Harare City . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0 Chapungu . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0 HARARE City goalless draw against Chapungu at Rufaro Stadium yesterday left their British coach Mark Harrison bitterly disappointed.

It was Harare City’s second consecutive Castle Lager Premier Soccer League draw after playing to a one all draw against Bulawayo City last weekend.

“We have played two games, and thrown away four points and my players’ are not showing an enthusiasm to win,” said Harrison.

“He (Chapungu coach Rodwell Dhlakama) is happy with a draw, he is happy with a point but I am totally unhappy. I could have used other words but unfortunately I am on press here and I can’t.

“I am pretty cross at the moment I feel like just going home tonight and get a plane and head back to England.” Despite dominating possession the Sunshine Boys lacked the cutting edge and ended the first half without a single shot on target.

“We are playing good football, we are creating chances but we are not showing the desire to win, we are repeating the same things every week, we are failing to score.

“Today we went for the entire 45 minutes without a shot at goal, and it something which is disappointing,” added Harrison.

Despite Harare City enjoying possession Chapungu had better scoring chances and could have killed the game as a contest in the first half had their two forwards Allan Tavarwisa and Ian Nyoni been clinical in front of goal.

However, the visitors’ gaffer Dhlakama was not complaining after the match.

“I am happy with the point that we managed, but I feel we could have won the game in the first half,” said the Chapungu coach.
