THIS is directed to the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development. The ministry last year ordered a reduction of tuition fees for students on teaching practice and industrial attachment. A number of colleges heeded the call, but there are others like Bondolfi Teachers College that has been defiant. The college is charging $300 tuition fee when we receive $150 allowances. Please assist us. — Student.

I thank Government for introducing buses in urban areas as a measure to counter rowdy commuter bus operators. However there are certain routes in Harare which I think should be considered such as Highfield to Westgate and Dzivaresekwa to Belvedere because there are many school children along on these routes. — Citizen.

Hello The Sunday Mail family. I was shocked to know that four primary schools in Nkayi recorded a zero pass rate at Grade Seven last year. I am disappointed with the teaching staff. How can they fail to mould even a single student in seven years to attain 15 units? The education authorities should investigate this case with the high priority it deserves. — Ricardo23, Harare.

There are some social media brigades amongst us who are known for posting mere lies that are meant to destroy our nation. It should also be noted that their barbaric falsehoods may cause civil unrest and we want to shame any acts of violence. We must behave responsibly and build our country. It is worrisome to note that some hoodlums are being funded to wreak havoc and increase human suffering. No amount of money is worth one’s life. My plea to the police is that they should continue monitoring the situation in urban areas. They must not to be deceived by what appears to be a calm situation because I strongly suspect that the rioters have not rested. — Terrence Mwedzi, Mutare.
