IT is disheartening that after trying to top up my Tapcard, via swipe, on 12 September, the transaction was not successful. However, money was deducted from my NMB account as if the transaction had sailed through. It has taken me four visits to NMB Southerton Branch customer service to get the issue rectified, but up to now there is no success. NMB, please bring back my money. — Very angry and disgruntled. A big shout out to Marvelous Nakamba and Marshall Munetsi for stamping their mark in the EPL and French top flight football respectively. I don’t mean to be alarmist, but the cold spell that hit the country in the past week triggers fears in some of us. I have practiced subsistence farming for five decades and always relied on weather patterns to judge the success of our agriculture. With last week’s signs, we might not be having a normal season. Let us take advantage of the early rains. This means we should, by now, be 95 percent through with our farming preparations for the coming season. — Murimi Mukuru.
