Craft welcomes Hon Garwe’s appointment
CRAFT Properties (Pvt) Ltd founder and chief executive Mr Kudakwashe Taruberekera, management and staff would like to congratulate Honourable Daniel Garwe on his appointment as Minister of Housing and Social Amenities.
Hon Garwe, who is also the Member of Parliament for Murehwa North constituency, has pledged to end corruption leading to the construction of structures on undesignated State and council land without the necessary amenities. Craft Properties (Pvt) Ltd pledges to support Hon Garwe’s vision.
“The sector has been soiled through these illegal allocations of land on undesignated areas and we as Craft Properties (PVT) Ltd believe Minister Garwe has set the right tone to bring normalcy,” Mr Taruberekera said.
“We also support Government’s vision towards proper housing provisions which feeds into President Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 to create an upper middle income economy.”
Mr Taruberekera added: “It is indeed our collective responsibility to work with the Minister, Government and everyone in the sector to achieve our goals as Zimbabwe.”
Craft Properties (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary of Craft Properties Holdings, which was registered in 2008. It started as a small organisation and grew over the years into a reputable entity that is respected and recognised locally and internationally.
Mr Taruberekera said the secret behind their success is professionalism, honesty and hard work.
“We have expanded to include various entities registered locally and internationally under our holding company Craft Properties Holdings (Pvt) Ltd,” he said.
Craft Properties (Pvt) Ltd, which is into land development, recently registered the Craft Properties USA LLC after gaining extensive experience in the field of real estate, land development and construction in Zimbabwe.
“The decision to go international came as a result of realising that there is need for international participation by companies based in Zimbabwe.”
The property entity is concurrently undertaking housing projects that include a high-density housing development and an agricultural residential plots developments.
The high-density project - Holyland High-Density Suburb - comprises of 1 573 residential stands in Kadoma. The project is part of a 60ha piece of land at Subdivision of Stand No. 1 of Subdivision A of Railway Farm 8 in Kadoma. This is an innovative project to boost the high-density accommodation provision in Kadoma. All relevant documents for the planning stage were approved by the relevant authorities.
Civil works completed include opening of roads while road construction is underway. Water pipes have been laid and a borehole was drilled and installed for the building projects’ supplementary water. Construction of houses is also underway. Beneficiaries include low-income earners, mostly those from the civil service.
The agro-residential plots development at the Greenfield Cherries Residential Agricultural Plots has 93 plots. The development of the agro-residential plots is at Stand No. 5 Mandalay of Sabona-bon Farm in the district of Kadoma about 4,5km to the southeast of Kadoma City towards Chegutu Town along Harare-Bulawayo Highway. This project is serviced.
“Our objective is to provide decent and affordable shelter to the people of Zimbabwe. The beneficiaries of both projects are at various stages of constructing their houses and other structures with some houses complete and ready for occupation after obtaining a certificate of completion from the council” Mr Taruberekera said.
Craft Properties (Pvt) Ltd has been awarded various awards, including the International Business Licence permitting Craft Properties (Pvt) Ltd to operate internationally. Craft Properties (Pvt) Ltd is also an elite member of the World Confederation of Businesses.
