Thank you ShaSha!

-

HE big news in showbiz right now is on Amapiano queen, ShaSha, real name Charmaine Shamiso Mapimbiro.

Kudos for her victory at the just-ended Black Entertainment Television ( BET) awards.

We congratulate her for winning the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act gong.

The triumph was sweet news to everyone.

“What just happened ...A BET, thank you my people back home all over the world,” she tweeted after the victory.

No, it is us that need to thank you for the hard work and success.

It certainly is your victory but you made the country proud, raising our flag high.

The rest of Southern Africa and Africa at large are impressed. You are a jewel!

You became a winner first by

Tvirtue of your nomination, the first one for Zimbabwe at the BET

awards.

The actual win was the icing on the cake.

Battling and securing a victory against some of the finest new voices on the globe, who include Rema (Nigeria), Young T & Bugsey ( UK), Hatik (France), Celeste ( UK) and Stacy (France), means only the sky is the limit for ShaSha.

As it stands, she is simply unstoppable!

Keep setting the pace and making history.

We wish to get more gongs from you, the Grammy included.

The National Arts Council has since sent a laudatory message but we hope they, and other relevant authorities, go an extra mile to honour this outstanding daughter of the soil.

Chero kumupa ka piece kemunda zvinoita futi (Even giving her a small piece of land). Kikikiki.

Certainly, she can create a balance between her studio time and tilling the land.

We are sure Minister of Youth, Sport, Art and Recreation Kirsty
