THE delay in furnishing the MDC Alliance trio — Joana Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova — with a trial date in a matter in which they are facing charges of publishing false information or obstructing the course of justice is because of the absence of expert evidence to facilitate investigations.
State counsel, Mr Teddy Kamuriwo, told the court that there were videos needed from a specialist before the trial commenced.
