IT is that time of the year to honour both living and departed freedom fighters. We salute our Defence Forces for remaining vigilant in protecting our territorial integrity and sovereignty. The freedom we enjoy today must be guarded at all costs. We should look at what is happening in countries such as Syria, Iraq and Libya and count ourselves lucky. The enemy is actively trying to destabilise our peace. We should be on the lookout. — Gerald Maenzanise, Kadoma.

It is sad to note that the coronavirus pandemic has prevented us from our traditional gatherings to honour our heroes and celebrate the work of our Defence Forces. These are important events that remind us where we came from and where we are heading. — Jacob Mapindire, Budiriro.

We hear that Victoria Falls as a prime resort area has attracted US$500 million since the coming in of the New Dispensation. Had the sector not been affected by Covid-19 we would be talking of a big figure. This is positive news. — Terrence Muchadura, Harare.
